Welcome to
Texas Forever Tails No Kill Dog Shelter

A Planned Scalable No-Kill Dog Shelter for Texas

Our Mission:

To Collaborate with overcrowded Texas Animal Shelters in Texas that are NOT no kill shelters, and to rescue, facilitate, and rehabilitate as many Texas dogs as possible. Additionally, we will provide our services to the communities surrounding our facility.

Our Plan (The basics):

1.  Acquire a 10-acre tract of land to buildout a scalable, dog-specific, no-kill shelter with dual zones (kennel-free and kennels).

2.  (a) Socialized, non-aggressive dogs will be kennel-free (assigned a kennel for their comfort and security, but only required to be kenneled during quiet time - 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.)

     (b) Dogs needing socialization training and behavior correction training will receive specialized training from our trainers and work towards cage-free integration and their Texas Forever Home.

3.  Scale facility capacity annually to accommodate more dogs and demand, and ultimately, open satellite facilities around Texas where need is the greatest (Texas accounted for 20% of all animal euthanasia in 2023).

4. Develop Texas-wide advocacy network - lobbying and advocating for stronger protections for animals.

We are Committed to saving as many adoptable Texas dogs as possible from euthanasia.

Texas Forever Tails is committed to providing a safe and caring environment for Texas dogs in need. We believe that every dog deserves to live out life feeling happy and loved.
